Can A Rowing Machine Tone Arms, Legs And Abs

What health benefit can you realize from a rowing machine?

Tone arms? Yes. Build leg strength? Absolutely. What about the abs? Rowing is a very good core exercise and really a tremendous full body movement. Rowing may be the best body weight training exercise there is. Legs, back, core, shoulders and arms are all involved in the rowing movement. The chest area is the only major muscle group not specifically targeted while rowing. So dont forget your push ups after completing your rowing machine workout.

Lets break down the physical benefits of a rowing machine.

Tone arms. The main rowing drive is produced by the legs but the oar handle is connected to this drive force through the hand grip. Additionally, the finish of each stroke is completed by the arms drawing the oar into the midsection. So arms are involved in the gripping the oar (forearm and hand strength) and finishing the stroke (forearms and biceps). Not a bad start.

Leg strength. The legs get the main workout when rowing. Its like body weight squatting over and over and over. The quadriceps, glutes, hamstrings and calves all play a part in creating the drive force. This total leg involvement is what makes rowing such an efficient calorie burner. The big muscles of the legs and butt really burn the energy when working continuously.

Abs and core. When the legs apply pressure during the stroke, the core must tighten to keep the back from collapsing. This transmits the power through the arms to the oar handle. The entire core works every stroke to maintain body position. In addition, the stroke involves a constant rocking back and forth. The upper body reaches forward during the recovery portion of the stroke and rocks back through the drive phase reaching a slightly laid back position at the finish. Back and forth every stroke. Youll never see an oarsman with belly fat.

Back and shoulders. The large muscles of the upper back take over from the legs to finish every stroke. The legs initiate the power and the back takes over about mid-stroke to finish the drive. The posterior deltoid (back of the shoulder) works with the upper back to maintain a strong body position, preventing a collapse or rounding the shoulders.

Endurance. Rowing is the ultimate high intensity interval workout. Every stroke is a tiny burst of all out effort superimposed upon a constant, steady state workout. You burn a lot of calories rowing. You work almost the entire body as well.

Can a rowing machine tone arms, legs and abs? Tone is probably an understatement. Rowing will build strong legs, back, arms, shoulders and core. It is the ultimate fat burning exercise and a very efficient use of workout time. Burn calories, shed fat and build muscle all at once.

Can I Get My Husband To Love Me Again

Can I Get My Husband To Love Me Again

Are you asking yourself, "can I get my husband to love me again?" It's probably killing you inside to even think he will never love you again. Good news for you is that he can and he will, only if you go about bringing his feelings out for you the right way. In this article I will point you in the right direction of how to get your husbabd tro love you again? Do you want to?

Men fall in love faster than women. It's a fact. Do you suppose they forgive the one they're in love with to? Of course they do, but it's not going to be easy if you're doing it alone. Most women find it easy to understand men. Men on the other hand find it difficult to understand women, but if a man knows his woman, than it'salmostimpossible to fool him into thinking you don't love him or care for him. Once you know this, it's easy to get him to love you again.

Can my husband love me again? Wow! This is a deep question, but also real. Whenever someone is in love, that means their heart is given to that one person on a spiritual, mental, physical, and emotional level. Whenever someone loves another person, it means that person is not in love with you, they love you. It could be like a motherly love or even a sisterly love. Which one do you prefer? Do you perfer him to be in love with you or just love you? I'm sure you want him to be in love with you. Being in love is ver different than just loving someone. It means more and deeper passion.

If you want your husband to be in love with you again, honestly I have to tell you that he probably never stopped being in love with you. No one can just stop being in love with the person they're in love with. Even physical abuse can't make a person stop being in love. Being in love is too deep for that.

So, how do you figure out if your husband is in love with you? I understand it may be difficult to tell the difference, but I have a few ways:

1. Always affectionate behind closed doors and outdoors

2. You come first in his life with everything

3. He never disrespects you by calling out your name

4. He makes love to you passionately

Yes! These are just some ways to tell that your husband is in love with with you. Maybe you two are going through somethings and you are confused about his love for you, but know that if he does these things for you and to you, then you know he's in love with you.

How do you bring the spark back into your marriage?

It's not hard, but if you feel the need to get some help, alternative marriage couseling might be want you want to consider. It's all about what you want. Marriage doesn't last, because one spouce figure things out alone. Marriage last because that spouce found help to save their marriage.

Can You Really Work At Home in Medical Transcription

Well, yes, absolutely. Thousands of people engaged in medical transcription work at home every day.

Working at home is a situation that many people aspire to, to escape the rat race of commuting, paying for childcare, wear and tear on the car. Medical Transcription does indeed offer that to those willing to go through the training and get some experience under their belts.

If you want to work from home, you basically have two options: You can either start your own business, or you can telecommute. Medical Transcription is a career that provides you with both options.

There is a large market for medical transcriptionists. You can work from the hospital or physician's office or you can work from home. You can also start your own at-home medical transcription business. Medical transcription, at its core, is basically just listening to notes that a doctor has recorded about things such as exams, autopsies, operations and more, and typing out the recordings into a document that then is included in the patient's chart.

With the technology available today, the doctor can actually send you the recording over the internet, so you don't have to leave the comfort of your home at all! Medical transcription is not difficult to learn, but it can be somewhat expensive. Nowadays, there are several websites that offer books, CDs, DVDs, and online courses to help you learn the medical terminology that you need to know to do the job well.

When you do sign up for a course or buy learning materials, make sure they are worth your money. As a medical transcriptionist, you will need to know medical jargon such as abbreviations, terminology and medical terms, and only the right resources will give you all the information that you need.

It can be somewhat difficult when just starting out in transcription to get a work-at-home position. Lots of employers out there want you to have some intense quality assurance scrutiny before letting you fly, so to speak. So they want you in house if possible. Indeed, the U.S. Dept. of Labor notes that nearly 60% of transcriptionists work in an office somewhere.

But don't let that discourage you! It is still possible to get that at-home job. All it takes is perseverance.

If you have chosen a good program, they will probably have a job placement assistance program, and can tell you which employers are most likely to hire you to an at-home position. Also, you can ask other transcriptionists on Internet forums which companies are hiring "newbies" to work at home. Make a list of these, and go after them aggressively.

Canning Made Easy With Personal Advice From a Home Canner

Canning Made Easy With Personal Advice From a Home Canner
I've been home canning for several years, and I am still always on the lookout for tools and techniques

to make my canning season easier and less tedious. As I look back over all the seeds, pits, peels,

cores, toil, sweat, chopping, cutting and mashing of canning season, I "relish" (canning product term!)

the various pieces of canning equipment I have added to my repertoire that have truly helped ease my

stockpot burdens. Perhaps you already have these pieces of equipment in your kitchen and have not yet

employed them in your canning regime. Or, perhaps after reading this article, you too, will invest in

some of these tools to further aid you in your canning season. I have found these tools irreplaceable

and, although in a pinch I could can without them (in some cases), I would prefer to always have them

in my kitchen of canning splendor.
1. Steam Canner: There is some debate out there in canning land whether or not a steam canner

adequately heats the contents of jars in order to kill bacteria. I have used a steam canner with great

success for the past 6 years. I especially like using the steam canner for fruits, pickles, and jams.

A steam canner uses much less water, therefore less fuel, and is easy to handle. I have even steam

canned tomatoes with good results. As usual, I believe if you follow the guidelines which come with

your steam canner, you should enjoy great results.
2. Pressure Canner: Years ago folks were scared away from using pressure canners because they

seemed "dangerous". Pressure canners on the market today are very safe to use and a MUST if you want

to can vegetables and meat. I recommend obtaining the biggest pressure canner you can afford! You'll

be glad for the investment!
3. Food Mill: A few years ago I purchased a food mill through Lehman's (please follow link at

the end of this article to find out where you can obtain your own food mill). It was one of the best

investments I ever made. The food mill eliminates many steps, such as peeling, and is wonderful for

making all types of sauces, syrups, juices and purees. Most food mills come with various screens that

will aid in anything from removing small seeds to making chunky salsa.
4. Food Processor: My food processor saves me tons of time in the chopping and slicing

department. From salsa to pesto, I'd be hard pressed to be without my food processor.
5. Double Burner Outdoor Cooker: On hot summer days, I take much of my canning outdoors and

complete my canning on my outdoor cooker. Trust me, during canning season, almost every burner on the

stove is being used, so an extra burner or two does not hurt! Plus, the house stays cooler, you get a

tan, and the canning gets done. Talk about your multi-tasking!
In addition to the above equipment, it is a good thing to have large stainless steel bowls, a set of

good knives, a sturdy cutting board or two, and a lot of patience! Canning is a lot of work, but in

the end, the rewards are well worth the effort. I accumulated much of the equipment listed above over a period of time, and now that I have these tools, I would prefer never to look back. In fact, if I can find other equipment and tips to make my canning season easier, I'll be sure to check into it...and

pass it on to you!

Celebrity Kerry Washington Gets Acne Dark Spots Too

Celebrity Kerry Washington Gets Acne Dark Spots Too

Acne hyperpigmentation is absolutely merciless. Once I saw the picture of Kerry Washington without her makeup, I knew she struggles with her skin everyday just like many others do. Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (the discoloration left after an acne breakout) does not care if you are a beautiful celebrity like Kerry Washington or one of the regular masses trying to make an living everyday.

It just doesn't care.

Celebrities are not immune to skin problems. Even with a team of fashion stylists, hairdressers and make-up artists, nothing can prevent acne leaving brown spots on darker skin once the pimple has left.

Celebrities Have a Team of Beauty Specialists

That is why celebrities spend thousands of dollars at the dermatologist to make sure a pimple never shows up. Or if it does show up, the dermatologist is there with a needle at the ready to make sure it never gets a chance to do too much damage. And even if a mark happens to get left behind, there is always makeup concealer to cover that spot.

And airbrushing in Photoshop to erase it in your magazine covers. There are also lighting technicians to adjust light on movie sets.

Yes, it must be nice to be a celebrity with a team to help you look your best everyday.

If you suffer from acne and your skin is naturally olive or brown like Kerry Washington's, it's double trouble because you have to deal with the acne and then you have to try to eliminate the inevitable dark brown spots that are left behind. The hyperpigmentation will last much longer than the actual pimple. Sometimes several months later it will still be there, mocking you.

If only you had a dermatologist on speed dial.

But you figure, How can I afford treatment? I don't have the same money as Hollywood celebrities!

Celebritiy Skin Treatments You Can Do At Home

There is still hope. Clinical treatments for hyperpigmentation are more affordable than ever, but even if that's not in your budget, there are still remedies for hyperpigmentation that can be done safely in your own home. Science has advanced so much in the cosmetic industry that there are plenty of effective skin lightening creams, microdermabrasion kits and natural hyperpigmentation remedies available at a fraction of the cost of clinical treatments.

Of course there are many scam products out there that offer false promises and may do nothing to fade the dark marks. Some creams may even have ingredients that could damage your skin permanently.

Be an informed consumer and do your research. Check out the best ingredients in hyperpigmentation creams available online and choose the best treatment for your skin.

Chernobyl Ghost Stories

Chernobyl Ghost Stories

In this article we will cover one of my favorite paranormal subjects in Chernobyl ghost stories. Since 1986 there has been a rise in Chernobyl ghost stories due to obvious reasons. In 1970 the Chernobyl power plant began it's construction about eleven miles outside the main city of Chernobyl. Over a period of sixteen years four reactors were added to the Chernobyl plant.

On April 6th 1986 a safety test was carried out at the power plant and one of the main reactors was shut down to see if the other reactors were working correctly. As history tells us - this was a really bad idea. The cooling feature for the reactor was shut down and explosions followed. What happened next is considered as the worst nuclear power plant disaster in history with the fallout released thought to be four times the amount released in Hiroshima.

Most of this fallout landed in nearby Belarus and over 4,000 cancer related deaths followed the disaster. With so much death and destruction caused by this terrible disaster there are bound to be many local Chernobyl ghost stories floating about the local area. The most popular and widely discussed of these paranormal stories is of the Black Bird of Chernobyl. What is strange about this story is the fact that the bird was seen leading up to the date of the disaster and not after. The creature was said to have had a twenty foot wingspan and seemed to be headless.

After the disaster many people were reported having extreme nightmares which always involved this bird. The first hand encounters with the creature before the disaster were all confirmed to have been very similar. The following weeks lead to many different sightings of shadowy figures and reports of distressed sobs and wails. With a disaster of this magnitude it is always common for ghost stories to follow.

There was a working town nearby that housed many different Chernobyl ghost stories, the town was called Pripyat. The main hot-spot of activity is said to be around the hospital area where many different people have complained about horrible feelings of being watched along with faint outlines of figures in the dark. The town looks like it is a set off a post-apocalyptic Hollywood movie so the reports of Chernobyl ghost stories are not that uncommon.

Not only have people reported on Chernobyl ghost stories after the disaster but also on the possibility of UFO's being involved. During the explosions a UFO was reported by many people to have been hovering above the plant for over six hours. Nearly a year later a journalist captured a UFO on film again hovering over the disaster zone.

As mentioned, the Chernobyl ghost stories were bound to appear due to the scale and tragedy of this particular accident. The ghost towns left deserted around the area provide a perfect setting for paranormal activity. So are these Chernobyl ghost stories born from truth or fiction - that is for you to decide.

Consider Wind Generated Electricityfor Your Home

People have been using wind turbine power for centuries. In the past, wind
turbines were used to carry and distribute water for irrigation or to mill
grain. Nowadays, wind turbines are used to generate electricity. Due to ongoing progress in wind turbine technology, more homes now are capable of harnessing
wind power to satisfy their electricity needs.

Even if you are one of those few skeptics that discredit global warming, it
still makes sense to consider generating your homes electricity with a renewable
energy source. Rising costs and degradation of air quality are reason enough to eliminate the use of carbon based fuels such as coal and oil. Who would not
like to breathe fresher air and at the same time thumb their noses at the
utility companies? People are looking for ways to cut down the need for
conventional sources of electricity, eliminate their electric bills and preserve
the beauty of the environment. One of the effective ways of doing this is with

the use of wind turbine generated electricity.

Wind turbines produce no pollution and by using wind power you will be
offsetting pollution that would have been generated by your utility company.
Over its life, a small residential wind turbine can offset approximately 1.2
tons of air pollutants and 200 tons of carbon dioxide and other gases.

In a normal residential application, a home is served simultaneously by the wind turbine and a local utility. If the wind speeds are below 7-10 mph there will
be no output from the turbine and all of the needed power is purchased from the
utility. As wind speeds increase, turbine output increases and the amount of
power purchased from the utility is proportionately decreased. When the turbine produces more power than the house needs, the extra electricity is sold to the
utility. All of this is done automatically. There are no batteries in a modern residential wind system.

Over the course of a year a wind turbine typically lowers the electricity bill

by nearly 90 percent. It is not uncommon for wind turbine owners with totally
electric homes to have monthly utility bills of only $8 to $15 per month. The
wind system will recoup its investment through utility savings in as little as
six years, after that the electricity it produces will be virtually free. Many
people buy wind systems in preparation for their retirement in order to avoid unpredictable increases in utility rates.

Currently, prices are as low as $6,000 to have a wind turbine installed in the
average home to provide most all electrical needs. Homes use approximately 9,400 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity per year or about 780 kWh per month. A wind turbine rated in the range of 5 to 15 kilowatts would be required to meet this
demand. A wind turbine is easily retrofitted to virtually any home without the
need to change any wiring or appliances. In most cases, the utility will install
a second utility meter to measure how much surplus electricity it is purchasing
from the turbine owner.

Most small turbines have very few moving parts and do not require any regular maintenance. They are designed for a long life (up to 20 years) and operate
completely automatically. Over the long term, a wind turbine is an excellent
investment as it saves money, reduces environmental pollution and also increases property value.
